Jim Lynch was a state representative. Very nice man. We did all the painting and paper in his office and also painted the outside. I remember there was some nice weather that year. We actually finished the outside of his building on December 23,1992. It was a very nice day. The temperature was in the 70s.  I did all the work for Northwest savings at the Levinson Brothers building. Five floors and in the basement, office space.  Restored a piece of history the building is very historic in our town of Warren Pennsylvania. We did all the Painter Erie PA drywall finishing taping and sanding and we did all the painting in the entire building. 350 sheets of 5/8  drywall 4 x 10 feet long, per floor.  Northwest Savings Bank built a bridge to connect the building to the main Northwest savings building, the main branch, on the corner of 2nd Ave and Liberty Street in Warren, PA. was built in 1960. I did all the offices’ painting and wallpaper in that building. I did all the refinishing of the woodwork at the teller windows, where you cash your checks and deposit. The wood is clustered, knotty, maple, and beautiful woodwork. That’s the only clustered maple I’ve ever seen. In the early 60s it wasn’t so rare, but it is now. We enjoyed working with people. I gave up painting houses outside because of the bad weather and because my brother passed away. I only gave up Exterior painting a couple years ago.

My brother Tim and I, work together for 35 years doing painting, wallpaper, and plaster repair and drywall. Started out drywall then after a couple years got into painting residential. Also put up commercial grade vinyl wall covering and varnished all the cabinets and woodwork did work in the kitchen painting the ceiling several times over the years. The wallpaper I put on the walls is still there 35 years and still in good shape. No seems coming loose . I also did the work in the  mini golf course Pro Putt.

I originally did that work staining and Painter Erie PA painting.. They remodeled it using a contractor,  Preferred Enterprise and I did all the finishing one of my favorite places to brag about. because the public can see it. It was my claim to fame 35 years ago. I also painted the roof. Gary asked me to give him a price on the materials and labor. Then after I got started, he thought that it was terrible that I was putting latex house paint on that roof, Aluminum roofing, I said why? I called the Behr paint company and they recommended that I use it. He replied that the last time it was done it was oil base industrial paint special order about $200 a gallon at the time, 25 years ago Gray told he was lucky to get 2 years out of the industrial paint. He was worried it wouldn’t stick to the industrial paint, but it did for 10 years. Before I gave it another coat of paint, it looked beautiful, no fading at all so he asked me to do it again. That was another 13 years back. It still looks good without any fading. I know it’s not faded because I matched it to the Dairy Queen logo sign. Amazing. I didn’t use a primer. I only cleaned it up and Wire brushed the roofing.
